Surround Sound in Nature

We recently (well, about three weeks ago now) got a new Sony Dolby Digital audio decoder for the apartment.  If you're understanding of these audio things is slight, then - in a nutshell -  it decodes upto 6 channels of discrete audio, or technically 5.1: Front Left, Front Right, Centre, Rear Left, Rear Right and then...subwoofer (whose job is to make thuds, booms, rumbles and other disruptive noise).

It's both super-sexy and freakin' terrifying: explosions seemingly appearing from behind in movies is one thing, but some grotesque beast lurking behind you in one of those "oh God, it's a monster, shoot it" games we have for the PS3 is frankly too much.  Even more visceral a reaction is bumping the crap out of the side of Princess Peach in Mario Kart on the Wii, and hearing her spine-chilling screech seemingly sweep around the room before she finally ensconces herself into one of the fungal trees, ubiquitous in the land of Mario.
It's added an entirely new dimension to movies, almost to the point of sounding more real than real (in almost the same way the XBox 360 and PS3 seem to create glass and metalic effects somehow more real than real!).  But, it turns out I was wrong.  Nature also does 5.1 surround sound, and the proof is here.
Okay, not quite the height of wit, but it made me laugh...

Oh cute, I also have a Wii. I can recommend Mario Galaxy and the latest Zelda for it.
